Altmühl Valley: Enduro touring in an unspoilt and wild landscape
Altmühl Valley / Danube Region: learning, enjoying, "cultours"
Arnsberg Castle, one of the most extraordinary hotels in Bavaria, will be our base hotel for our excursions through wild and unspoilt forests, mountain slopes and valleys.
What more could you ask for?
Our alternative location will be the Waldgasthof St. Wolfgang.
From here, the motorbikes take us to the most beautiful places in the Altmühl-Danube region, featuring a highly diverse set of landscapes: forests, mountains, valleys – everything that makes an off-road-lover's heart beat faster – which we will explore in those four days. From the Ries that was created some 15 million years ago through a meteor strike, we ride into the hilly landscape south of the Danube River. The Altmühl Valley with its idyllic side valleys keeps tempting us to take a break and enjoy the view. Our path is littered with numerous castles, some of which we are able to explore. This is a region with a long history, where we keep bumping into relics from the period of the ancient Romans.
The picturesque Danube gorge at Weltenburg Abbey is another scenic highlight during our tour. Those who like more challenging riding have the option of working on their riding technique in various quarries and sand pits.
At the end of the tour both beginners and experienced riders will have better control over their motorbikes on the various types of terrain. The tour is suitable for all standard single or twin cylinder enduros and offers a maximum of riding fun and great comfort.
