Brandenburg - Travel Enduro Tour: Gritting Sandbox
Off-road hike south of the capital
Hundreds of years ago, the Mark Brandenburg was affectionately and mockingly referred to as "the Holy Roman Empire's scattered sandbox." The sandy, barren soil of the Mark Brandenburg, on which extensive pine, birch and heath crops thrive, led to the nickname for this charming landscape.
Sand - that is the keyword for this tour. On mostly sandy ground, but also on forest paths, gravel roads and small asphalted roads, our tour leads through the beautiful forest - and heath landscape of Brandenburg.
On three extended day tours we enjoy wonderful, untouched landscapes.
On the way there is always something to discover: medieval castles, idyllic lakes that invite you to swim, the highest elevation in Brandenburg, the geographical center of the former GDR or the experience of leaving a village and suddenly finding yourself in the middle of a tracked deep sand road. In the evening, we'll be treated to some of the delicacies of the Mark Brandenburg region in the beer garden of our base hotel west of Berlin.
