13 days in Northern Thailand Self Guided
Self Guided tour 13 day tour in Northern Thailand " We arrange - You ride"
On this tour you will get in-depth impressions of virtually all of Northern Thailand. We will travel mostly on rural, little-travelled roads and discover both insider tips as well as highlights of world-wide fame, covering some 2,400 km. Bend by bend – a dream for any biker.
After a stop at the Vachiratharn Waterfall we ride up to the peak of the highest mountain in Thailand (Doi Inthanon, 2,565 m) and visit the "giraffe women" of the Kayan minority tribes near Mae Hong Son, who are known for their brass coils they wear around their necks. Between Mae Hong Son and Mae Taeng are the famous 1,864 bends. Here you can work on your cornering technique for hours. In the Golden Triangle we learn more about the former drug kingpin Khun Sa who has created a reputation for himself by opium smuggling. Then we explore Nan Province – one of the best motorbiking regions in Thailand which is off the beaten tourist track. From Nan, we take a wonderful route to Bo Kluea that is known for its salt pits. Finally we visit Thailand's first capital Sukothai, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and in Mae Sot we cross the bridge of friendship to Myanmar on foot, where we browse the bustling border marker in Myawaddy. Via Mae Sariang we eventually return to Chiang Mai.
